Forming Intentional Community

We are nothing without our community. We are committed to a communal mindset, and we operate from a place of community understanding. We understand that it will take a community to enact the changes that we want and need to see in the world. We believe in doing what is necessary to support the land and humanity, and maintaining the relationships that we have had since time immemorial. Gatekeeping of knowledge which can help the land and humanity for the sake of notoriety or profit is extremely harmful to everyone and everything involved.

We offer workshops and gatherings to teach and re-claim Indigenous skills and knowledge for our people at no cost. We understand that it is our sacred responsibility to be in communication with our Ancestors, our living community and the land. Examples of past and planned events are food forest planning and planting, herb walks, hide tanning, wildcrafting, foraging, seed growing and saving, native biodiversity and companion planting. We also offer and practice time banking, bartering, and mutual aid.

We are building an intentional community. We welcome Indigenous community members and allies to apply to camp. We intend to create an agrarian trust of Hummingbird Springs Farm so that it is preserved and available for all life and the land into future generations.
