Solar Dehydrator Workshop and Build

Click Here for Facebook Event Details

Come out to Hummingbird Springs Farm to learn all about food dehydrating using the power of the sun!

Food dehydration is a great way to store and preserve food. Solar-dried foods don't require electricity or fossil-fueled energy inputs to preserve or store them.

We will build a passive solar dehydrator, using open source plans from Utah State University. You can help with the build, or just watch and learn!

Folks are welcome to camp and take advantage of the time away in the country! Bring some swimwear or your fishing pole to swim or fish if you feel so inclined.

One vegan meal will be provided, folks can bring snacks, or food to cook over an open fire or grill. COVID precautions will be followed.
